Terms & Conditions

Nursing Education & Training Australia Pty Ltd Terms and Conditions are guided by the Australian Consumer Law. Our principle is to maintain transparency, confidentiality accountability and timeliness to ensure that we deliver our utmost value of fair, safe and quality services.

Services

Nursing Education & Training Australia (NETA) delivers the services below.

  1. Outcome Based Assessment (OBA) Preparation Class

This is an 11-weeks package which includes 8 weeks of online NCLEX support and coaching and 3 weeks of intensive online and face to face OSCE.

The course fee is $5,500 and will not include any other fees outside of the OBA Preparation Class. The student will have 6 months access to NCLEX materials from NCLEX enrolment* and another 6 months access from OSCE enrolment*.

*Access means the use of all services (online and face to face classes) within the 6 months period or until student pass NCLEX/OSCE examination, whichever comes first.For face to face OSCE sessions, the 6 months access is available to any major city where OSCE face to face is being delivered as scheduled by NETA. 

 

  1. NCLEX only fee is $2500
  2. OSCE only fee is $3500

The course fee will cover:

  • NCLEX Coaching Sessions with qualified NCLEX Nurse Educator registered in Australia
  • Online resources that include Lesson Readings, Lesson Recordings from educators, online resources, eBooks and NETA NCLEX Tools.
  • 5,000 NCLEX questions from the question bank that can be accessed via:
    • Demo Quiz
    • Lesson quizzes after each lesson reading
    • Practice Tests
    • Mock Tests
    • Readiness Exams
    • Coaching sessions
    • Final Coaching Questions
    • NCLEX Final Coaching – 5 full days of comprehensive

a. NCLEX Preparation Class fee of $2500 will cover:

  • NCLEX Final Coaching – 5 full days of comprehensive 
  • revision (face to face)

b. OSCE Preparation Class fee of $3500 will cover:

     This is 3 weeks of online and face to face preparation class:

  • Over 100 OSCE competencies
  • OSCE Intensive 5 days Face to Face training
  • Weekly evaluation conducted via zoom

Where a candidate needs more than 6 months to access the OSCE course, an additional fee of $500 every 3 months will be charged. Student can have access to online portal for upto 6 months or until student passes OSCE, whichever comes first.

Prior to signing to this contract, please ensure that you have been provided with the Student Information pack -OBA. 

  1. Transition RN (1st year RN) support

NETA provides support in the application of job through building a strong professional CV and portfolio. NETA will provide coaching in answering selection criteria and interview questions.

Support continues through online CPD courses related to the transition process of a 1st year RN.

Fees are variable and will be indicated in the invoice.

 

 

  1. Continuing Professional Development (CPD for nurses)

NETA will continue to provide education beyond the transition year through online and face to face CPDs. Fees are variable and will be indicated in the invoice.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to Nursing Education & Training Australia. The privacy information will detail NETA’s responsibility in keeping your information safe and secure.

Personal Information

Nursing Education & Training Australia discloses your personal information to its agents or sub-contractors for these purposes, the agent or sub-contractor in question will be obligated to use that personal information in accordance with their terms of this privacy policy.

Subcontractors and external organisations include

  • NCSBN who are providers of NCLEX
  • Pearson’s Vue as the agency that delivers NCLEX
  • AHPRA and it’s partnered university who deliver OSCE
  • employer for the 1st year RN
  • educational agencies who will deliver CPDs

In addition to the above, Nursing Education & Training Australia may disclose your personal information when it is required by authorities and law, in connection with any prospective or current legal proceedings.

Securing your data

Nursing Education & Training Australia will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.

NETA has the rights to reserve its intellectual properties. Students should be using their resources for their benefit only. Sharing of resources to other Non-NETA students will result in disciplinary action or termination from the class.

Updating this policy

Nursing Education & Training Australia may update this privacy policy by posting a new version on the NETA website. You should check the website occasionally to ensure you are familiar with any changes. Changes may be implemented without prior notice.

Terms and conditions: General terms and conditions of promotional offers:

Definition of Terms:

Consumer – the referrer or the one receiving the promotional offer

Friend – a person the consumer refers to NETA

 

  1. Promotions are valid for one offer per person and cannot be conjugated with any other offers
  2. If simultaneous offers are running, the consumer has to choose one offer only.
  3. For offer to be valid, participants must follow the instruction of each offer or promotion.
  4. For referral benefit program, the person being referred must state the referring person’s name while enrolling for the course. If the referred person does not state the name of the referee during the enrolment stage, the referral promotion will not be valid.
  5. Referral programs only apply to the students who directly enrol with NETA. Students enrolling from the list of registered agents are not eligible for the program run by NETA.
  6. Information of the students being referred provided by referring consumer must have consent from the prospect candidate or student. The person giving the contact details of the prospected candidate agrees to indemnify NETA and hold NETA harmless in respect to any and all claims, loss and damage, costs and expense incurred or suffered by directly or indirectly related to any allegation or assertion by a friend referred by you.
  7. All gift card promotions are non-convertible to cash or discount of fees.
  8. Where the gift card promotion is run for students of NETA, the student must successfully enrol and completely pay the fees of at least one course.
  9. Each promotion will have its own specific terms and conditions and must be used in conjunction to this terms and conditions.
  10. The promotion value is always in Australian Dollars (AUD) currency.
  11. For any promotion to be valid, the consumer must have paid the full fee of the course enrolled.
  12. Nursing Education & Training Australia (NETA) reserves the right to change and update these terms and conditions without prior notice.
  13. To the extent of any inconsistency between these terms and other information provided about the promotion, these terms prevail.
  14. For the purposes of these terms the expression "friend" means any person referred to NETA.
  15. There is no limit to the number of friends being referred to NETA, however NETA deserves the right to refuse a referral.
  16. Subject to these terms, including the clauses dealing with conditions and eligibility criteria, the candidate being referred must completely pay the full fee of the course prior to receiving the promotion.
  17. The amount of the reward (reward) will be as specified in each promotional campaign.
  18. contradicting to number 17 The amount of any reward to which the consumer is entitled is the amount specified in the promotion running at that time.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. To be eligible to participate in the promotion and receive a reward:

       (a) you must at the be 18 years of age        

       (b) the friend you refer must never have enrolled previously from any of our partner agents.

 Conditions and other terms

  1. Referrals are paid by direct credit to a bank account nominated by the consumer (nominated account). If its gift card promotions the gift card will be sent via online method. If any other type of promotions, rewards will be posted via Australia Post Registered Mail Service.
  2. If a consumer is entitled to receive a reward and NETA do not hold details of the nominated account, NETA will communicate through email.
  3. Any reward is payable within the month and only until if the conditions of eligibility above are met.
  4. (Our right to extend or withdraw promotions and offers) We reserve the right to extend or withdraw this offer without notice at any time at our sole discretion. If withdrawn, we will honour the offer in respect of any customers who satisfied the eligibility criteria before the offer the withdrawn.
  5. Once the consumer advised NETA of the account or address details:
    • the consumer authorises NETA to deposit or post any rewards payable under this promotion to the nominated account or postal address.
  6. NETA is not obliged to pay the reward in the following conditions
    • the terms have been breached.
    • we do not have details of your nominated account or your nominated account has been closed, account details or postal address have not been provided within 1 month from the time that the information has been requested by NETA.
    • any email address that is undeliverable for any reason,
    • the friend referred didn’t make full payment to the course and/or didn’t complete the course.
  7. Same as number 6, The consumer consents NETA to contact by email or telephone with financial offers, products, services or other promotional campaigns that may be suitable Opting out for promotional campaign information is the sole discretion of the consumer and may inform NETA by writing, phone call or unsubscribing electronically.

 

Refunds

  • If an intake is cancelled by NURSING EDUCATION & TRAINING AUSTRALIA at any time, participants have the option of rescheduling to another date or receive a full refund of the course fee paid.
  • Clients will need to inform NETA in writing should a refund be requested. Refunds will be paid in the means on how the money was received. If the money was paid via an agent, the refund will be transferred to the agent.
  • No refund or exchange will be given for any services that have been provided already from NURSING EDUCATION & TRAINING AUSTRALIA.
  • For OBA Preparation class, students who are not able to complete the duration of the course are not entitled to a refund.
  • For OSCE Preparation class, Deposit paid to book the class is non refundable.
  • If a student decides to withdraw from the course, the following refund is implied:
    • Refund requested 30 days prior to course commencement - $100 dollars cancellation fee + full refund
    • Refund requested 21 days prior to course commencement - $100 dollars cancellation fee + 50% refund
    • Refund request 14 days prior to course commencement – no refund
    • No attendance without prior cancellation notice – no refund
    • NETA have full right to deactivate student portal account if:
      • Fees becomes overdue
      • Students are noncompliant to the course
  • In an event where NETA decides to cease the service to the candidates on the grounds of not complying to the code of conduct and terms and conditions listed in this agreement, there will be no refund paid from NETA. If they decide to join the next intake, they will have to rebook the course at Full Fee. A refund will be considered where applicable

Outcome Based Assessment Business Rules and Code of Conduct

Student Compliance

Each student enrolled in the course must comply to at least 80% of student work at each time for the duration of the preparation class. The 80% will count towards attendance, completion of reading materials and answering of quizzes and mock tests. To ensure that the 80% compliance of student is implemented, a weekly evaluation will be set for each student by an educator.

 

Where a student has not maintained 80%, a first written warning will be given and a follow up in the next weekly evaluation. Where the student fails to comply during the first warning, the student will be scheduled to the next intake date to ensure that the student is able to arrange and manage time.

 

For students with learning challenges, a student support plan will be put in place to establish goals and determine measured results. Extra tuition may be provided depending on level of support that is needed.

 

The student must complete the 11 weeks course. Where this is not achieved, the student may be rescheduled in another intake.

 

 

Student Conduct

Students are expected to behave in a way that is professional and is socially acceptable. NETA strives to create psychological safety in all student encounter. We encourage students to contribute and engage in interactive discussions.

A misconduct may require behavior management. Grave misconduct is determined by how severe the consequence is and may result to termination of the course.

Media

Students can post in social media for as long as it is professional and socially acceptable.

By signing this terms and conditions, you also allow NETA to post photos or videos in the internet that may include yourself whilst conducting the courses.

Testimonies may also be required during the duration of the course and after succeeding in the exam.

Classes may be recorded for quality improvement purposes. If you have any privacy issues, please let the course coordinator know.

 

 

Student Classroom Rules

  • During virtual classes, youare required to share your camera. Note that no camera will not be admitted in the course
  • Sign in with your full name.
  • Stay in a place where you can sit down properly (proper ergonomics) and where it is conducive to learn.
  • This is a class, so do what you normally do in a classroom environment - no mobile phones, no eating and no going away for longer periods. 
  • Turn your microphone on mute when not talking. Don’t forget to turn your microphone off mute when you talk in class
  • This is a safe space – your thoughts, contributions and questions are welcomed! We encourage that we maintain professionalism and proper code of conduct.
  • If you have a question, or confused, or did not understand, tendency is, few students are also the same – so ask questions please!
  • Each week you are required to complete your pre-reading. This can be accessed through your Lessons via Student Portal
  • Each week (Thursdays), you are required to take the mock test.
  • When pre readings and mock tests are not up to date by each Friday of the week, a learning contract will be formulated where students will sign and commit to complete the requirement in the following week. Failure to achieve this goal will result to a discussion of accommodating the student to the next available intake so time can be managed and arranged accordingly.
  • You are all registered nurses and all adult learners. The lesson readings and recordings will facilitate your learning so you can be engaged during the coaching sessions.
  • You are required to attend your scheduled weekly evaluation. The weekly evaluation is a 15 minute, one on one discussion with your educator to check progress and discuss further support required to enhance learning. 
  • NETA's mission is a 100% passing percentage to all OBA candidates. The method of teaching will be different from the traditional way of delivering classes. You are attending a coaching class that is designed to address the NCLEX and OSCE test plan. Basic knowledge and concepts (theories) are accessible via pre recorded videos of NETA educators. The coaching classes are delivered through a higher level of thinking, clinical judgement and clinical decision making which is required to succeed in both NCLEX and OSCE. 
  • You will receive a mid session and final session evaluation form. External auditors will review the evaluation for objectivity and validity of the feedback.
